Pimm’s Cup: Splendidly British

This is another great cocktail to enjoy during those long summer days.  Pimm’s is a drink that is probably unknown to some, but it is the summer beverage of choice for the British socialite. Endorsed by the Queen and served at Wimbledon, Pimm’s is as quintessentially British as eating fish & chips by the seaside, or moaning about the weather.

A deliciously refreshing combination of summer flavours, Pimm’s cup is the perfect accompaniment for a BBQ or garden party.

Per person you need:

– Tall glass

– 50ml Pimm’s No. 1 liquor

– 150ml of lemonade

– A few sprigs of fresh mint

– 3 lemon slices

– 4 halved strawberries

– 3 cucumber slices

– Ice

This is how you make it:

1. Mix the Pimm’s and lemonade into a tall glass. Add the mint, lemon, strawberry and cucumber and top with plenty of ice. It’s a simple as that.

2. Alternatively you can make a large jug or pitcher to share with your friends, or drink alone if you have had a particular stressful day!

For those of you who are wondering where to buy it,  Pimm’s No. 1 can be purchased in most supermarkets, it is located in the spirit section.
